"Staying Committed: The Power of Remembering Your 'Why

Hey Transformational Teacher

In this episode I speak briefly on remembering why you started teaching, staying in your lane and embracing the freedom God has given you. Below is a brief overview:

Remembering Your 'Why':

  • Reflect on why you started teaching.

  • Let your 'why' fuel your perseverance.

  • Tips: Write down your 'why,' share it with a friend, find a scripture promise, and pray over it.

Staying in Your Lane:

  • Avoid comparison with other teachers.

  • Embrace your unique gifts and calling.

  • Consult God for guidance on focus areas each school year.

  • Be prayerful and seek God’s input.

Embrace Freedom:

  • Seek God daily.

  • Embrace who He has called you to be.

  • Walk in the FREEDOM He has given you.

  • Remember, you are valuable and you are needed.

  • Allow the treasure God has put inside you to come out.

  • Get out of your own way as you journey throughout this school year and life in general.

About the Podcast

The Transformational Teacher Podcast
Conversations With Jesus
Does having a relationship with God truly help me flourish in every area of life?
Have you ever wondered if inviting Jesus into your everyday life whether in the classroom, your career, or personal journey would truly change things?
For years, I wrestled with stress, uncertainty, and the weight of trying to do it all on my own. I often felt like I was pouring into everyone else but had nothing left for myself. I tried to carry the weight of my calling in my own strength—until I realized I was never meant to do it alone.
Through deep conversations with Jesus, I’ve learned what it means to surrender, trust Him fully, and walk in His peace. Now, I want to share those conversations with you.
I’m D’Toya Dove, and The Transformational Teacher Podcast: Conversations with Jesus is a space where we explore what it looks like to walk with Jesus in every season. While I have a heart for teachers, this podcast isn’t just for educators—it’s for anyone seeking to grow spiritually and fulfill their Kingdom assignment with confidence and joy.
Each episode is a reflection of what God is revealing, encouraging us to grow in faith, trust Him deeper, embrace Kingdom purpose, and live the life He has called us to live.
Join me as we navigate this journey together one conversation with Jesus at a time.

DToya Dove

Hi, I’m D’Toya Dove, the host of The Transformational Teacher Podcast!

I’m a Christian Teacher, podcast host, and the founder of The Transformational Teacher, where I empower educators to grow in their faith, embrace self-care, and adopt a Kingdom Growth Mindset to unlock joy and peace. With over 16 years of experience as a Pre-K teacher, I understand the joys and challenges of teaching firsthand—and I’ve experienced how transformational it can be to invite God into every part of our journey.

Through my 15 Kingdom Keys Framework, I guide educators to align their teaching with God’s purpose, helping them discover peace and joy in the classroom and beyond. But I want you to know, I’m walking this path with you. Every day, I’m learning to trust God more, lean into His strength, and find balance between faith, teaching, and life.

Whether it’s through faith-filled encouragement, practical strategies, or self-care tips, my mission is to help you thrive as a teacher and make a lasting Kingdom impact.

Join me as we journey together to teach with joy, peace, and purpose—one step at a time!
