Pause + Pray for Teachers | Don't Grow Weary in This Final Stretch
Welcome to Pause + Pray for Teachers | Don't Grow Weary in This Final Stretch
Each month, we pause in God's presence and pray together for our classrooms, students, and schools. I'm sharing these prayer gatherings here on the podcast so you can return to them anytime you need to reset, refocus, and be strengthened.
This episode is longer than my typical podcast episodes because it's designed as a guided prayer experience — not just a teaching moment. Take a deep breath, slow down, and allow God to meet you right where you are.
This month, our focus is Don't Grow Weary in This Final Stretch.
As we navigate through the last quarter of the school year, the tiredness is real, the pressure is real, and the temptation to just push through on our own is real. But God is reminding us that He is still at work and still strengthening us. He is not asking us to finish strong on our own — He's offering to be in it with us. We just have to allow Him, and not dictate how the help comes.
Wherever you are today, remember this: You are not alone in this final stretch. God is with you, He is strengthening you, and He will carry you through.

Speaker A:So again, what is prayer?
Speaker A:Prayer is communicating with God.
Speaker A:Prayer is speaking God's word over the situations in our lives.
Speaker A:Prayer is listening to what God has to say to you.
Speaker A:Prayer is when we ask God to to intervene in our lives and the lives of those that we pray for.
Speaker A:Prayer is showing God that we can't do life on our own and that we need his help.
Speaker A:I encourage you.
Speaker A:It is vital to invite God into every aspect of your life.
Speaker A:Invite God into that classroom and allow him to help you.
Speaker A:Because we are faced with a lot of different things in life in general, but also inside the classroom.
Speaker A:And and it is so much better when you allow God to guide and direct your footsteps.
Speaker A:When you allow God to help you respond his way, when you respond out of a place of love and being rooted in His Word, it will come out so much better.
Speaker A:What happens when we pray as teachers?
Speaker A:Our heart softens towards our students that are challenging toward our students in general.
Speaker A:We start seeing things more from God's perspective when we learn how to handle classroom situations in a better way.
Speaker A:We start to pause more before responding to a challenging situation.
Speaker A:Our ears are more in tune to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to us about ourselves and our classrooms.
Speaker A:We start to humble ourselves more and reach out for help from those in our world.
Speaker A:We go in ready to tackle the day knowing that we are not doing it alone, but that God is right there by our side.
Speaker A:We start to see the good in each one of our students.
Speaker A:We start to see the good in each day.
Speaker A:Because some days, I tell you, some days are very challenging.
Speaker A:But there's always something good in every day.
Speaker A:One thing for sure is that God is always faithful.
Speaker A:God always remains the same.
Speaker A:So that's one thing that we can praise him for each day.
Speaker A:And I'm sure that there's many other things that have went good in that day when we start to see even the small victories that happen in our life and in our classroom.
Speaker A:So let's go ahead and jump into what God has Been saying to me in this month, he's been saying, don't go weary and well doing, don't grow weary.
Speaker A:In this final stretch, this final quarter of the year, God is still at work and he is still strengthening us.
Speaker A:God has been reminding me recently that he's standing right there ready to help us, but we have to allow him and that we cannot dictate how he helps us.
Speaker A:We have to release, control and allow God to do it his way.
Speaker A:And sometimes God, he doesn't do it the same way every time.
Speaker A:But the thing we know for sure is that God is faithful and that he can help us.
Speaker A:Sometimes he sends a help in a different way than we've expected.
Speaker A:Sometimes he's telling us to switch something up.
Speaker A:Yes, even in this final stretch, he may tell you to switch something up.
Speaker A:Because here's the thing.
Speaker A:God knows everything.
Speaker A:God knows the ins and outs about our lives, about our students, about our classroom.
Speaker A:He knows.
Speaker A:And there may be something that he's telling you to do differently in this last quarter of the year than you did in the first three quarters.
Speaker A:So if he's telling you to do it, I encourage you, have your ear open and to hear and to do.
Speaker A:And he may tell you, reach out to someone new, pursue a training, go look up this training, look up this video and apply this to your classroom.
Speaker A:He might tell you to try a different approach.
Speaker A:Again, he knows best.
Speaker A:So we always want to have our ears open to hear what he tells us to do.
Speaker A:Even when he may have said one thing when you walked inside the classroom, he might say, no, go ahead and do it this way.
Speaker A:I think I know this will be better if you do it this way.
Speaker A:And again in this final stretch, the testing, the behaviors that you may see that you might not seen in the beginning of the year, the tiredness that you may feel sometimes it may feel overwhelming.
Speaker A:But again, God is not asking us to finish on our own.
Speaker A:He wants to help us.
Speaker A:Just as he's been helping us.
Speaker A:He still wants to help us.
Speaker A:Even now he's offering to be in it with us.
Speaker A:But again, we have to allow him to help us.
Speaker A:God is standing right there ready to help us.
Speaker A:But again, we have to allow him to help us.
Speaker A:And we cannot dictate how the help comes.
Speaker A:We want to make sure we are digging in God's word like never before.
Speaker A:We are standing on his promises and that we are doing his will, we are doing things his way.
Speaker A:And again, we have to trust him every step of the way.
Speaker A:Allow God to help you.
Speaker A:I Cannot stress that point enough.
Speaker A:Allow God to help you navigate through every challenge, no matter the size.
Speaker A:Deal with everything God reveals to you and.
Speaker A:And don't deal with it on your own.
Speaker A:Deal with it with him.
Speaker A:Allow him to help you navigate through those things.
Speaker A:He is big enough to handle every situation because again, as I said earlier, he knows every angle.
Speaker A:He can tell you what to pray, how to pray, what word to turn to, who to reach out to, what to look up.
Speaker A:Because again, he knows all.
Speaker A:Sometimes he may say, wait, sometimes he might need to do something deeper within you.
Speaker A:So allow him to do the deep work.
Speaker A:Allow him to refine you.
Speaker A:Sometimes, I know it may feel like we're in the fire, but the thing is, when we're in it, he's right there with us, refining us.
Speaker A:So again, allow him to help you.
Speaker A:Don't throw in the towel.
Speaker A:Allow him to help you.
Speaker A:So as we move into prayer, let's remember, let's come with open hearts, ready to receive what God has for us, ready to receive his help.
Speaker A:Because God is going to do his part always.
Speaker A:But we have to obey and do our part.
Speaker A:Again, just like I mentioned earlier, we're going to be praying through the scriptures and we're going to allow God to direct us as we are praying.
Speaker A:So let's pray well, Heavenly Father, we thank you right now.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord, just for who you are.
Speaker A:We thank you for your goodness.
Speaker A:We thank you for your love.
Speaker A:We thank you for your faithfulness, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father, for all that you have done for us so far on this year.
Speaker A:And we thank you, Father, for what you're going to continue to do on this year.
Speaker A:We thank you that you are the Alpha and you know the Omega.
Speaker A:You know all things, Lord.
Speaker A:You know the ins and outs about us.
Speaker A:You know the ins and outs about our students.
Speaker A:So we thank you, Father, for helping us.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father, for giving us the strength, Lord God, that is needed, Lord God, to continue this journey, Lord God, we thank you, Lord God, for a renewed drive, Lord God, to focus on the things that you call for, for us to focus on and to finish strong.
Speaker A:But God, not on our own, but that we continue to allow you to help us along this journey.
Speaker A:Lord God, we think that your word cannot return to Lord.
Speaker A:So we thank you for what it says in Philippians 2:13.
Speaker A:But it is not your strength.
Speaker A:But it is God who's effectively at work in you, both to will and to work, that is strengthening us.
Speaker A:So we thank you, Father, for strengthening us, Lord God, for this journey.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father, for energizing us for this journey.
Speaker A:We thank you for creating in us the longing and the ability, Lord God.
Speaker A:To fulfill your purpose, Lord God.
Speaker A:For your good pleasure, Lord God.
Speaker A:So everything, Lord God, that we do, we do it unto you, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we act so, God, that you strengthen us.
Speaker A:We thank you for a fresh anointing, Lord God.
Speaker A:Following on us each every day that we go inside that classroom, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we go in, Lord God.
Speaker A:Ready, Lord God, to teach.
Speaker A:Ready to make that impact that you called for, for us to make ready to love on our students, Lord God, we thank as we spend time in your word.
Speaker A:As we spend time, Lord God, praising you guys.
Speaker A:We spend time in worship, oh God, just in being in your presence, oh God.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for strengthening us.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father, for energizing us.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father for equipping us, Lord God, for the day ahead.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, that you daily load us with benefits, Lord God.
Speaker A:So everything that we need, each and every day we thank you for supplying it for us, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father.
Speaker A:We glorify your name, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for all that you are doing, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we thank you for what it said that you give strength to the weary, Lord God.
Speaker A:So even in those areas so, God, we may be feeling weary yet, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for giving us strength.
Speaker A:We thank you right now that you would increase us, Lord God, with power, Lord God, we thank you right now that we will wait on you, Lord God.
Speaker A:And as we wait on you, we thank you.
Speaker A:Renew our strength, Lord God.
Speaker A:You will renew our power, Lord God.
Speaker A:We will gain new strength, Lord God, through you.
Speaker A:We thank you that we lift that we lift up their wings so, God.
Speaker A:We will rise up close to you, Lord God.
Speaker A:Like eagles rising toward the sun, Lord God.
Speaker A:That we will run, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we will not become weary.
Speaker A:We will walk and we will not grow tired because we're not doing it in our own strength.
Speaker A:But we are allowing you to strengthen us, Lord God.
Speaker A:So we thank you, Father, for strengthening us, Lord God, we thank you for helping us to see things, Lord God, your way.
Speaker A:We thank you for downloading us the wisdom that is needed, Lord God.
Speaker A:Each and every day I thank you, Father.
Speaker A:Each and every day that we are quick to here slow to speak and slow to anger, Lord God, I thank you.
Speaker A:We are pausing, oh God, before we respond, Lord God, in any situation.
Speaker A:Because we want to make sure that we respond your way, each and every time.
Speaker A:So we thank you Father for that.
Speaker A:And I thank you, Lord God, that we're zoning in and we are focusing on the things for God that you are instructing us to do, Lord God every step of the way, Lord God whatever it is that you tell us to do spiritually, whatever you tell us to do naturally, Lord God in these remaining months of school, God that we are doing, Lord God, we ask, oh God to show us if there's anything specific, oh God, that you want us to pray, Lord God, for our students, Lord God Pray for ourselves, pray for our co workers, pray for our school as a whole, praying for our community, oh God, we would do just that, Lord God show us, Lord God, what you want us to do, Lord God, every step of the way.
Speaker A:And I thank you for what it says in Galatians 6 through 6, verse 9.
Speaker A:Let us not grow weary or become discouraged and doing good for at the proper time we will reap if we do not give in.
Speaker A:So I thank you Father we continue, Lord God, to go forth.
Speaker A:Look how we continue to do your will.
Speaker A:We continue to teach, Lord God we continue, Lord God, to love on our we continue to make an impact, Lord God, in their lives, oh God.
Speaker A:And we thank you, Lord God, for the fruit that we're going to see.
Speaker A:And we think that the fruit is going to come even after they're out of our classrooms, oh God, we thank for every good seed that we've sown in their lives, Lord God.
Speaker A:We think that it's going to grow, oh God.
Speaker A:Anything that was sown, that was not a view, Lord God, we thank you that it will be rooted out of them, oh God, it will be rooted out null and void, Lord God Only things of you, Lord God, that have been planted in them are going to grow.
Speaker A:So we thank you Father for that.
Speaker A:And we thank you for Luke 18:1.
Speaker A:One day Jesus told his disciples a story to that they should always pray and never give up.
Speaker A:So I thank you Father.
Speaker A:The spirit of prayer is upon us, Lord God.
Speaker A:We have a lifestyle of prayer, Lord God and we're praying, Lord God, throughout our day, Lord God, and we thank you as we pray.
Speaker A:We thank you for giving us the strength, giving us the wisdom, oh God helping us, Lord God, to take those steps that you're telling us to take, Lord God, God, I thank you for Psalms 32, 8.
Speaker A:I think that you will instruct us and you will teach us in the way that we should go.
Speaker A:We thank you Father, for counseling us with your eye being upon us, Lord God.
Speaker A:So we Think even the midst of it, Lord God.
Speaker A:Even the midst of a challenging situation.
Speaker A:We thank you Father that we're open, Lord God.
Speaker A:And that you will show us, oh God.
Speaker A:You will counsel us, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you that we can go to you, Lord God, in those difficult times.
Speaker A:Just we can go to you in those good times, Lord God.
Speaker A:And that you will help us.
Speaker A:You're there for us.
Speaker A:We thank you for being our provider.
Speaker A:We thank you for being our way maker.
Speaker A:We thank you for being our strengthener.
Speaker A:We thank you for being our intercessor.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for being the all wise God, the God that knows all all.
Speaker A:So we thank you Father, for giving us what we need each and every day.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:And whatever we do, no matter what it is in word or deed that we do everything in the name of Lord Jesus independence on him.
Speaker A:Thank you Father.
Speaker A:So everything that we do, we don't do it in our own strength.
Speaker A:We don't do it by ourselves.
Speaker A:But we are dependent on you, God.
Speaker A:We're trusting in you, Father.
Speaker A:We lean not into our own understanding.
Speaker A:All of our ways.
Speaker A:We're acknowledging you as we acknowledge you, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you God.
Speaker A:And direct us along the way.
Speaker A:Best pathway, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you to removing obstacles, Lord God.
Speaker A:Out of our way, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you Father.
Speaker A:We're crucifying the flesh, Lord God, daily.
Speaker A:And we're walking in the spirit, Lord God.
Speaker A:We're responding, Lord God, your way each and every time.
Speaker A:Even when things come up, Lord God, that we have not been praying for, Lord God, we say, oh no, that's not what God said.
Speaker A:We're going to continue to go to the truth of what's in his word.
Speaker A:And we are going to believe that.
Speaker A:And we are going to pray that we're going to continue to circle our students.
Speaker A:We're going to continue, oh God, to pray as you instruct us to pray every step of the way.
Speaker A:Because we are your ambassadors, Lord God, inside the classroom, oh God.
Speaker A:And we shine your light, Lord God.
Speaker A:We love on our students like never before.
Speaker A:And we thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:Whatever we do, whatever the attacks may be, we work from the soul.
Speaker A:We put in our very best effort at something done for the Lord and again not for men.
Speaker A:We're doing it for you, God.
Speaker A:So I thank you Father for that.
Speaker A:And I give you glory and I give you honor, Lord God, to glorify your name.
Speaker A:We glorify your name, God.
Speaker A:Hallelujah, God.
Speaker A:We thank you Father, for all that you're Doing in Jesus name, Amen.
Speaker A:So now we are going to go into praying over our classroom, school, community and then we will ask if you have any prayer requests and again if there's any that you have, you can always send them to you me.
Speaker A:So we're going to be praying for students, family, staff and school environment.
Speaker A:And as God leads.
Speaker A:So Heavenly Father, we thank you right now.
Speaker A:We thank you Lord, just for who you are.
Speaker A:We thank you for our students.
Speaker A:We thank you for their hearts, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you for each heart, Lord God, that it be turned towards you, Lord God, we thank you our soon as they come to know you at an early age, Lord God, we thank they're open and ready to learn, Lord God all that they need to learn on this year, even in this last quarter, Lord God.
Speaker A:Whatever it is that you want them to learn, learn, Lord God, I pray, Lord God that they're willing to learn it, Lord God, I thank you for the growth, Lord God.
Speaker A:They've already made.
Speaker A:I thank for the continued growth, Lord God.
Speaker A:They will make, Lord God and I thank you.
Speaker A:They'll respond to you.
Speaker A:I thank you for every student.
Speaker A:I thank you for every teacher, every staff member, Lord God, I think we are all clothed in our right mind.
Speaker A:We thank you that we are stable, oh God, we are focused, oh God, we are covered by you, Lord God.
Speaker A:The blood speaks on our behalf.
Speaker A:We thank you that we're covered by the blood.
Speaker A:And we thank you, Lord God for our our students.
Speaker A:We think they're retaining what they've been taught, Lord God, on this year and we thinking they're staying engaged, oh God, as they come to the classroom, oh God, they're engaged to God in the lessons that are going forth, Lord God, we think they have a drive to learn, Lord God, even through this tested season, oh God, we think they have a drive to learn.
Speaker A:Look, I'm thinking as teachers we have a drive to teach, Lord God.
Speaker A:And then we're continuing to teach the way that you instruct us to teach.
Speaker A:Father.
Speaker A:We pray, Lord God, for peace in every classroom so that students can thrive and so that teachers that we can teach with calmness and clarity.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:We will continue to teach with you, Lord God, because you are the master teacher.
Speaker A:So again you know all things.
Speaker A:And we thank you for revealing to us what we need to do and what we need to know.
Speaker A:We thank you for the wisdom.
Speaker A:We thank you for the discernment, Lord God, on how to reach each child inside of our classrooms, Lord God, we thank you, Lord God for your grace.
Speaker A:We thank you for understanding and patience, oh God, for those difficult students.
Speaker A:For God, that we may be dealing with, Lord God, we thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:That they're your children, Lord God.
Speaker A:So we think since they're yours, you can show us, Lord God, God, how to care for them, how to love on them, how to teach them.
Speaker A:And we come against, oh God, that spirit of rebellion, Lord God, we come against this spirit of violence, oh God.
Speaker A:Enraged, oh God, we come against, Lord God.
Speaker A:Any misbehavior, Lord God, we thank you right now, Lord God, that your plans for each one of our students shall come to pass.
Speaker A:Because you have plans to prosper them and not to harm them.
Speaker A:The enemy's plans are null and void.
Speaker A:So we thank you, God, you have given us power.
Speaker A:You have given us authority, Lord God.
Speaker A:To do your will, oh God, you've given us that power and authority.
Speaker A:They're going to tread over serpents, Lord God.
Speaker A:And over the enemy schemes, Lord God, we thank you.
Speaker A:We're staying alert, Lord God, as we go forth, Lord God.
Speaker A:On this year, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we are fighting for our students.
Speaker A:But not fighting our own ship, but we're fighting, Lord God, the way that you instruct us to fight.
Speaker A:We are roaring for our students like never before, Lord.
Speaker A:So we thank you, Father, for what you're going to do.
Speaker A:We thank you for unity, Lord God, among the staff, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank you, Father, for wisdom, for school leadership, for God.
Speaker A:Continue to guide and direct their pathway, their footsteps, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we thank you for the saved leaderships, Lord God, that they continue to lead in a way that's pleased in your fight, Lord God.
Speaker A:And those that are unsaid, they come to the knowledge of who you are.
Speaker A:Simple labels across the pathway, Lord God, to witness, Lord God, to them.
Speaker A:And they will say yes to you, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:In every king's hearts in the hand the Lord, he's turning whatsoever way that he will.
Speaker A:So he's turning in the way, Lord God is the best thing, Lord God, for our students, for our teachers, look out.
Speaker A:For our schools, look out.
Speaker A:So we thank you that we're making sound and wise decisions, oh God, we thank you for your protection.
Speaker A:We thank you for your covering, Lord God, covering us, Lord God, cover every, every aspect of our school.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for covering our students at the bus stops.
Speaker A:We thank you for our bus drivers.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for blessing us with great bus drivers.
Speaker A:We think that they are attentive, Lord God, to the rose we pray the students that they are obedient, Lord God.
Speaker A:On those buses, Lord God.
Speaker A:They're not distracting the school bus drivers, Lord God.
Speaker A:But they are sitting there, Lord God.
Speaker A:Being respectful, Lord God.
Speaker A:And allowing, Lord God, the bus driver to drive as they need to, Lord God.
Speaker A:And we just thank even the kids at the bus stop so, God, that they're making sound and wise decisions, Lord.
Speaker A:We thank you, Lord God, for strong school and family connection, Lord God.
Speaker A:We thank the students and teachers that they walk in alignment with your plan, Lord God.
Speaker A:We pray, Lord God, for health, healing and holdings for the school community as a whole.
Speaker A:And we pray, Lord God, that those, Lord God, that are going through difficult times, oh God.
Speaker A:Those who may be grieving, Lord God, we thank you.
Speaker A:Their hearts are open, Lord God.
Speaker A:That they allow you to help them.
Speaker A:That they will receive the Father's love.
Speaker A:They will receive your love.
Speaker A:I thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:They will allow you to heal the hearts, Lord God, God.
Speaker A:They will allow you, Lord God, to have your way their lives, oh God, I pray for peaceful, God.
Speaker A:I pray for strength, oh God, as they navigate through this season.
Speaker A:That they are in, Lord God.
Speaker A:And I pray that they truly see that they're not alone but that you're right there with them.
Speaker A:That you're there cheering them on.
Speaker A:That you're there guiding and directing them, Lord God.
Speaker A:And I thank you, oh God, that even the hard pathways, oh God.
Speaker A:Overflow with the abundance, Lord God, heal their hearts, Lord God.
Speaker A:I thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:As they sleep on tonight, I pray that each one has sweet sleep, oh God, they surrender all cares, Lord God.
Speaker A:They give all anxiety over to you because you care for them, oh God.
Speaker A:And they allow you to guide and direct their footsteps.
Speaker A:So we thank you, Father, for all that you're doing.
Speaker A:And we give you glory.
Speaker A:And we give you honor, Father.
Speaker A:If there's anything that we did not pray, pray.
Speaker A:We ask that you intercede on the behalf and we accept that you have your way, God, take over, God.
Speaker A:I thank you, Lord God.
Speaker A:That your spirit rests upon them.
Speaker A:Lord God, I thank you for filling each classroom, oh God, with your love.
Speaker A:Filling each heart, Lord God, with your love, oh God.
Speaker A:I thank you, Lord God that we remove the clutter, Lord God.
Speaker A:Any mental clutter, Lord Got any physical clutter, Lord God Any clutter that needs to be removed, that we allow you to remove it, Lord God, God, show us what we need to do every step of the way.
Speaker A:And we give you honor and we give you glory.
